This may seem off-topic, but it's really not. I hear that a demo for Cloning Clyde will be included on the "bonus disc" of the Viva Pinata Special Edition. (As well as some junk we Ninjabees don't care about...)

Press Release Here.

So, that's pretty cool, did you guys have to lobby for that at all or what?

Yeah, sounds great to me! I know that the whole marketing thing is working, because my 9 year old sister, who knows nothing about the actual game, is dying for it. Why? She loves the TV show. Go Rare/Microsoft/4Kids on that one! I am glad their technique is working.

I personally want the game because it looks pretty fun. Reminds me of Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing.

I'm very excited about the demo of CC on VP.

Honestly, we didn't have to lobby much. There are various factors involved, but some key ones are that we do whatever their marketing team asks us to and lots of people like the game, making it a good game for them to promote in conjunction with Live Arcade. I expect that kind of cool marketing co-effort to happen for other awesome games like RoboBlitz. Microsoft really does go the extra mile to promote Indies!

I'm also excited about VP. It's the only Xbox 360 game I'm sure I'm going to get for Christmas...

Well...I guess it's out. I have a 10% off Circuit City coupon that I'll hopefully be able to use to get VP Special Edition. Also hoping to pick up Gears with the 15% off coupon (both from OXM). Gears was totally sold out in Midtown Manhattan on Tuesday though...crazy stuff...

With those two and OKX's 200 GS calling my name (oh yeah and Enchanted Arms from Gamefly) I am so frickin' backlogged...

Oh, and I just got the Vision cam as yet another diversion.

Oh yeah...and very cool that MS is really behind you guys and Clyde...and whatever your next XBLA project is... :D

CRAP!! Thanks for reminding me of the Circuit City OXM coupon after I buy the game... :( Oh well, it was still cheaper than a $60 title. :P

The game so far it great, but seems to not be getting a huge buying. The guy who I bought mine from had never touched the case (it was behind counter), so nobody bought it during his shifts at least. My friends leaderboard has two people besides me, stay and another person. I hope more people buy it, because I am having a great time with it so far.

So I've decided Viva Piñata is pretty cool. I'm glad I got it. It's a little stressful and sometimes frustrating, and some of the text is hard to read (it's like pale green on pale pink or something funky like that sometimes), and dorky salespeople smack the UI when I'm trying to use it, making it go all wonky when I'm trying to read something (grrr! whose idea was that?), but other than that, it's great. Cute, funny, compelling, fun...

Totally loving Viva Pinata but I'm still only in the beginning. I'm totally swamped with games right now and I wonder how I'll accomplish what I want in them before next year...ugh...

Not the worst problem to have though...

Damn...sorry that I missed that CAG listing for $40.99. I ended up abandoning Circuit City for a 10% off coupon for Bestbuy.com because the Union Square (NYC) Circuit City people are completely inept and kept telling me that it'd be in and I'm make a special trip there and it wouldn't be in. Happened twice...so I said screw it and ordered it online through bestbuy and just picked it up. Also got 10% off Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam for the Wii for my nephew's Xmas present...it all worked out in the end. :)

But...back to Viva Pinata...at first I felt a bit rushed (probably because I was getting things done really fast and once you do one thing, two other things open up) but then I realized that it's my garden and I can do whatever the hell I want...so I relaxed a LOT and that helped. Overall though, the game just makes me smile...which is a nice change after I was just obliterated by some Locust Drones.

Did you send me some? I am waiting... :P I have never even looked at my postal service thing. Does it tell you? I just sent one thing to my sister to try it out.

Anyway, I haven't had much time to play it, but I did yesterday and had a blast. I gained 4 achievements, one of them from expanding my garden. I have learned that working on the plants is more helpful a lot of time than working on pinatas. I have my garden organized now.

Has anyone used fertilizer? Does it make a big difference? Do you use it during the time it's growing or after it's done?

I did not send one...I will give goods to all shortly. Probably not gonna be a salamango though. There is a notification on the bottom of the screen when you receive it.

I have not used fertilizer yet.

Grow and sell chilis for a nice profit.

Cool, thanks for the advice!

I haven't played for a couple of weeks. Got busy at work, and then got a Wii. :)

I'll give free Buzzlegums to anyone who wants one - I know they're early and cheap, but I just sell them anyway, and they keep coming back. They're so quick to start fighting... :(

The fighting drives me nuts. I hate dealing with sick (beat up) pinatas all the time. And I never feel like I have enough space or enough time. It's a surprisingly hectic game...

I will take one, mine aren't there now for some reason and aren't coming back.

I just got big in fights yesterday. All my alerts at the bottom (there were 6 in a row) were from the doctor. I think it was from me trying to get some master romances done on the sparrowmints. Doing sparrowmints meant I needed two whirlms for every time the romanced. That gave a ton of pinatas running around. I basically think I overpopulated.

After you romance 2 of the same pinatas, just give them Via...err..."Romance candy". They will be ready to go again.

I have a Dragonashe, but I can't have more than one at a time. Otherwise, I would share the love.
