Game Wont Start - White Screen Then Closes

I just downloaded this on steam and no-matter what I try, I can't get it to work...
Game starts to load then all I can see is a White box then "program has to close" and then nothing....
I Really wanted to play this :(

the Demo from Steam .. Ive found a couple of people having the same problem with both the demo & the retail.. but no real fix..
I dont have ANY codec packs installed or anything like that..

It's true that we had some issues with this in the past, but the last patch seemed to have resolved them until this report. I've contacted QA on this and they are looking into it.
