[INDIGNANT RANT]
It appears that the last poison update from Microsoft that took down thousands of XBox 360 Consoles worldwide has affected AWOK as well. I am one of the more fortunate ones as I have only lost the use of the DVD Drive so I can not play any game from CD, and the games on my Hard Disk glitch very badly to the point to where most are literally unplayable. My Console is brand new, and was working perfectly. The less fortunate got the RROD, (Red Rings of Death). The very fortunate remain unaffected by the update. Of course they are lying like rugs to everyone, and denying any problems being reported. I know personally of 25 people that have called, and or emailed them about this, as well as posted on their forum. So obviously, the right hand is not telling the left hand what is going on, and they don't even bother to monitor their own support forum. So Very typical. How do they stay in business? I'm amazed that a company with a track record of constant failures, Unstable operating systems, defective software, pathetic customer service, massive destruction of personal property, and deceptive business practices is still allowed to operate in the US. They have got to be paying someone off because I have seen companies shut down for much less.

At any rate, here a couple of symptoms. They did not appear until after the fatal update.

1) I no longer have the ability to move things. The Witch never offers the first potion. So when it's time to move a bridge into place, and I still have enough Keflings to play, (see symptom 3), I have to exit the game.

2) Transporter Keflings will only carry items for a limited time, then just drop them on the ground half way to the destination.

3) Keflings simply vanish. For example, I put a female Kefling at the witches hut to carry gems to the Factory. After about 10 minutes or so, there is no longer any transporter Kefling carrying Gems. When I count the Keflings, sure enough, I am one short. It continues like this until eventually, I only have about 8 Keflings left, and I have to exit the game.

there are several others. but these are the ones that cut the game play short.

YIKES!

First off, let me apologize for the horrible delay in reading this. I've been super-swamped at work.

Second, is this behavior continuing? Do you see this problem with the no-pushing-potion every time you start a new game? That's way not cool...

No problem. I fully understand. Things get crazy around here sometimes too.

MS posted another update that seemed to cure most of the problems, but some new ones have popped up.

I get the pushing potion now, every time.

the only two things that seems to be continuing are I keep loosing Keflings, although not as badly as before, and transporters stop transporting after a period of time.

The difference now when the Keflings stop working is that the transporters just run in circles at the pickup point instead of picking up what ever it is they are supposed to be transporting. when they are doing that, I am unable to pick them up. The only way I can stop them is to kick them, then I can pick them up, and assign them back to their jobs by dropping them on the resource, and then carry them to the destination, just like it was the first time.

Thanks,
Jim.
