In a file called settings.ini in the fsall directory where the game was installed ('c:\Program Files\Outpost Kaloki' by default) contains settings for the game, including the screen resolution. To change the screen resolution you can change XScreenRes and YScreenRes to be the desired resolution.
For example, If I wanted 1024x768, I would enter
XScreenRes = 1024
YScreenRes = 768
in settings.ini.
Not all resolutions are supported. The frame rate will also lower for higher resolutions.
There are also other settings such as fullscreen mode that you can change.

Hi, first off, Great game.
I am having problems though getting past the 13th and 14 th level. The first time I played, I got up to the 14th level and saved. But when I went back, this game would not load and I got error messages to shut it down. I thought it may be because I did something so I started over.
Now the same problem occurs with a saved game at level 13.
Is anyone else having a similar problem? Do you know of anything that might correct this problem?
Thanks
Liz

Liz,
Unfortunately, that's a bug in the game. Fortunately, it's been fixed.
Where did you buy the game? From ninjabee.com? If so, you can download the latest installer from ninjabee.com/outpostkaloki.html The license key you bought before will still be valid for the new version.
Installing the latest version will fix the bug.
DON'T uninstall the old version (just install the new version over the old one). Install in the same location, and your old save files will still be there. The new version of the game will allow you to load your old save files that weren't correctly loading before.
Everything should be fixed.
If you didn't get the game from ninjabee.com, you'll need to download the latest installer from wherever you got the game. The only problem is that as of today, the other sites still have an old version that has problems with level 12 not being beatable. If you download the new version from BigFish, for instance, you'll be able to load your level 13/14 saves, but you'd better not try to beat level 12.
I hope this helps, and thanks for the positive feedback!

Thanks so much. I am finally able to play my saved games that were at 13 and 14 level. Just out of curiosity, how many levels are there? Also, I know this is probably really early but any plans for a sequel?

Liz,
Excellent! I'm glad that worked.
There are 14 main "campaign" levels and then a few extra scenarios you can reach from the main menu. Some of the scenarios are open-ended sandbox play in various environments. Some are new experiences with new goals and gameplay. Give those a try.
We would love to do a sequel, but it will depend partly on how popular Outpost Kaloki turns out to be in the next few months. We have plenty of plans for fun new elements and scenarios that we'd love to include in a new release.
Thanks for the feedback.

Of the PC game? Nope!
OKX has all the content of the PC game, plus:
More than twice as many levels
New characters/environments/stations
Lots of new gameplay elements (including defense against attackers)
New music and audio
Revamped art (including original content and new content)
Revamped controls
Downloadable Content (new campaigns and stand-alone levels)
Achievements/Leaderboards/etc.
There's probably more stuff I'm forgetting. We put a ton of work into making Outpost Kaloki X unique and valuable on its own. And after all that, it's cheaper than the PC game.

Wow, I guess it deserves that extra "X". More "X"treme I suppose.

I got Outpost Kaloki from Reflexive in the past month. Once I get more than 6 or 7 expansions built, I have trouble with opening them to upgrade or sell them. When I double click on them, nothing happens. If I keep the expansions to 4 or 5 max, I don't have any problems double clicking and opening them, but there's no way to beat most of the levels with only 4 or 5 expansions.
How can I fix this??

If you select an expansion with either the mouse or the arrow keys, hitting Enter will let you open the expansion.
I haven't heard of this problem before. If Enter works but double-clicking doesn't, it could be related to how fast your computer is - maybe if things slow way down the game isn't correctly detecting double-clicks, or something?

I have trouble seeing the problem as being my computer. The one I'm using is a $1500 gaming computer and I can run games such as The Sims, The Sims 2 and World of Warcraft without any problems. Single clicking on an expansion or port and hitting Enter works.

I haven't ever heard this one before, and I'm having a hard time figuring out what it might be.

I recently got Outpost Kaloki from Direct2Drive and am enjoying it; will the PC version ever get a patch to bring it to the level of the Xbox version?
