I wanted to create a topic to just talk about how your doing for those of us who frequent here.
My fourth quarter of college for CNS (computer networking systems) starts in December. My finals wrapped up before thanksgiving which was good. Other than this just spending time with family and playing games on my ps3. Waiting for money to come in to buy me the new nook to do more recreational reading.

ATC, Where are you going to school?
I've been taking it easy the last few days, spending time with my family and playing video games. It's a nice break, after crazy long hours at work the last few months.

I am going to ITT-Tech. I know most people talk bad about it, but I am enjoying the school at least for now. Yes, it is a costly school to go to.

There's an ITT in Salt Lake that I'm fairly happy with, actually. They had a video game designer program for a few years and we hired a couple of people out of their program. I like their emphasis on *doing* things and having something to show for the time spent at school, rather than just a bunch of theory. Their students came out of the program with a portfolio, which made them much more appealing than the usual game designer applicant.
Of course, I don't know how consistent the various ITT schools are around the country. And these guys discontinued their game design program recently.

I was actually going that route when I lived in Indiana, but after the move to NC I had to switch majors. For me community management and marketing has always been a nack for me. Then again going into the computer field I hope that I can help out else where in video games one day.

It was a great day after finding more free star wars books for my nook color ... Other than that just enjoying a relaxing day eating meat pies my mother made and watching how to train your dragon with my daughter ...

That was a really good movie wasn't it? Its one of the few DVDs that I actually liked the director's comments on. Shrek being the other.

My day's pretty ok. I woke up at 10am since I got home dawn after our 10th year highschool reunion/christmas party. And I just came from another party now.

I have been having a bad week, but got two great e-mails today. One about still Beta testing a game which I was happy about ... Then the other was from my old boss who was going to tell me about a job opprotunity that is close by me ... Which makes me happy as well ...
