Is it just me, or did the two DLC released recently get released very quietly? I bought the game day one, bought the space DLC day one, but had no idea that the Candy and Spooky DLCs were released. I bought both of them today, but looking at these forums, there's not a whole lot of activity here. I know releasing DLC long after the game is released poses challenges, but I'm surprised I haven't heard more about this on gaming news sites and so forth. It's weird. I wonder how many people like the game but aren't aware of the new DLC like I was.

You know, not mentioning anything on the forums is a good point, and I think I was just so busy at the time that I simply forgot!

With that said, we did post about it on our blog, twitter, and facebook. There was a sale on A World of Keflings that same week, and plenty of press releases and articles from different web sites. Although it's true that "The Curse of the Zombiesaurus" was a bit of a surprise launch, the candy-themed DLC "Sugar, Spice and Not So Nice" has been in production for several months, and it has had plenty of press about it.

I'm sorry if you missed the press, but hope you are enjoying the DLC!

I actually was surprised by the releases as well, but I've been slacking on reading game news and visiting the site... so it is more my fault.

I finished both DLCs yesterday, and I really enjoyed it. The Spooky DLC was better, but I read in the blog that you all were working on that one longer, so that made sense. I did have some annoyances with the builders. When I started to build something, and placed down pieces to fit the blueprints, they would often go and pick up items that I just put on the ground. I don't recall them doing that in the main game, but it did cause some problems where I had to kick them away and then quickly try to finish putting down the pieces before they would move something again.

That said, I think the Candy DLC was more of a challenge. Mainly because it kept building components locked off from you until you advance the story. With the Spooky DLC, I just assigned spooklings to gather bones, brimstones and wood while I ran around in circles, watching television. I know that cheapens the game, but I had about a thousand of each by the time I started building things and didn't have to worry about resources at all. The Candy DLC forced me to be more hands on. I appreciated that.

I just wonder what the future holds. Kingdom. World. Galaxy? I think I'd just like the next game to make the cities feel more like cities. I don't expect Keflings to play like SimCity, but I think there are some areas that could be expanded upon to make it more rewarding to build a good city.
