As of today, there's a simple interim set of fixes for a few known semi-rare but fairly serious blocking quest bugs.
How to apply the fix:
1. Sign in to LIVE 2. Launch the game 3. Wait for a few seconds in the main menu.
In order to confirm that the fix is in place:
Go to the credits in Help & Options. Hit up on the D-Pad to scroll backwards and see the END of the credits. Look for a mention of the NinjaBee.com forums in the Special Thanks section (right after Katie). This indicates that the fix is in place. If you don't see this reference, go back to step 3.
We will be permanently fixing these issues in the future, along with other problems, but for right now these fixes are applied only when you do the above steps.
What we fixed:
1. If you build the metal trader before unlocking Scoobs, one of the mystery gifts won't be given.
How to fix this retroactively (if you already have this problem):
The player must load a game in which: the castle is built, the player has been told to finish the mystery building, and the bug is present. If these conditions are met, Ratbeard should get a quest. Go talk to Ratbeard and complete his quests to get the missing stuff.
2. In the Forest kingdom, the game tells you to talk to the princess after she has left for the Fire Kingdom.
How to fix this retroactively (if you already have this problem):
Load a game in the forest kingdom in which there is a monstrous perch. The quest should auto-complete, and the what's next should no longer say "talk to the princess".
3. Sharing is Caring quest doesn't go away.
How to fix this retroactively (if you already have this problem):
Go talk to the landscaper kefling (the quest giver), and wait for the sharing menu to come up. As soon as it does, press the "share collectibles" button to bring up the Xbox menu. Whether you actually share or not, the quest should complete after you get to that point.
4. The "Turn that frown upside down" quest won't go away.
How to fix this retroactively (if you already have this problem):
Load a game in the desert kingdom in which a Sultan's Palace has been built. The quest should auto-complete.
5. Brodie has a quest ("Uncle Habib's Gnarly Love thing") that won't go away.
How to fix this retroactively (if you already have this problem):
Load a game in the desert kingdom in which a Sultan's Palace has been built. The quest should auto-complete.
This last one is only fixed retroactively. You may still get it, even with the fix in place. It's a non-blocking bug. You can also just ignore Brodie and move on with your life, if you want - it doesn't stop you from continuing in the game.

Thanks for all your and the rest of Ninjabee's hard work, stay! The princess glitch is now fixed for me, I returned to the desert kingdom and got the completed arch animation (for the second time) and was able to complete the Wallflower quest, which I hadn't been able to do. Hopefully you weren't supposed to get a reward for that, because I didn't. Now I seem to have a new related problem. When entering the forest kingdom ratbeard is now randomly stuck on the "Good Neighbors" quest, which I completed long ago and have never demolished the igloo. The "what's next?" trigger no longer tells me to go talk to the princess, it just says "have fun and customize your kingdom" but Ratbeard's quest won't go away as I have no way of completing the quest a second time.

I just started up my Chapter 8 saved game, and Ratbeard had the exclamation for the quest "Build a Snow House".

Same here, I also tried knocking down the snow house and rebuilding it, but he's still got the exclamation mark over his head. Pulling left trigger does now say "Have fun and customize your kingdoms". This is also happening on one of my other complete game saves too, where everything had been done in order and I hadn't missed anything.

Oh great! Did we break something new, then?
We may have to pull that fix and try to replace it with something else as soon as we can.
Mike or Jason might have a workaround.
In the mean time, if you're desperate, it's possible to play without the fix by disconnecting from the internet before launching the game from the dashboard, but you wouldn't be able to post to leaderboards, of course.
We'll look into this right away.

Is this stopping you from finishing the game? Had you already finished it? Nope, I already finished the game... just thought it was important to mention in case it was affecting anyone who hadn't.

Is this a patch sent through Title Managed Storage? Nice work!

You should probably sticky this thread... just a suggestion.

Yeah... I didn't because I was hoping the problems would just be solved by the patch, and nobody would need to know they even exist. But I'll sticky it for now. We're working on a new update that fixes a few other things as well...

Hi there, just wanted to say that I bought the game in this weeks sale and have been enjoying it greatly with a friend. However it appears we have been caught up in the Ratbeard "Good Neighbors" bug mentioned above on the first play through of the game, he failed to drop the Ice House blueprint and now we are unable to progress in the game.
Any news or estimates on if this issue will be fixed? Thanks.

CookTrain,
I'm glad to hear you and your friend are enjoying the game. I have a few questions about your bug. First of all, are you playing the game while connected to the internet to make sure it is fully updated? If not, then try starting the game while connected to Xbox Live and updating the game to see if the problem persists.
If you are playing with the most recent update and the problem continues then there is a possibility that the bug you are running into is related to the 1st one mentioned on stays' list in the first post, so I have a couple questions for you. First, do you remember if you built the metal trader before unlocking Scoobs? And second, have you built the castle yet?
If you haven't built the castle yet, it may be possible that building it then saving, exiting, and reloading your game will fix the problem. Please let me know if any of this helps. Thanks!

Hi there again, I'm certain we did not build the metal trader before freeing Scoobs. I checked the credits and we're definitely on the updated version. We've just got to the point of building the castle. I saved, exited and reloaded, but unfortunately, Ratbeard still will not yield his blueprint to us.
