Outpost Kaloki's been getting a few reviews, so I figured I'd start a thread to keep track of them.

anyway, please post when you find more of them.

More reviews

This is from their "monthly round-up" ... apparently they're supposed to do a full review later, but they gave it a great score:

This one's a news item, but contains a short review:

The gamepike.com main page also had a nice little piece of art introducing the review, which had a quote across the top:

"A must have for all tycoon gamers!"

I'm mentioning this because it wasn't in the review itself, but it was a nice thing for them to say. :)

A short one-off

This guy made some nice comments:

Everyone seems to think we should have called this game "Space Station Tycoon." Maybe we should add a subtitle :-P.

Heheh..

Well, we've been talking about the subtitle. I even tried it out in a piece of sample art, and it's fine, but it's complicated.

"Outpost Kaloki: Space Station Tycoon" is a pretty long name for the web page icons and things...

Also, note that he said calling it Space Station Tycoon would be misleading... :)

After discussing the name extensively at first, and then discussing it *again* extensively on some developer forums, I'm more convinced that the name, while quirky, has some big advantages. I'm still not opposed to the subtitle, though.

Also, sorry to ramble on about this here, but you started it... :D

Warcry review

Postby AdamH » Mon Nov 22, 2004 7:25 pm

A decent review here:

Although seriously, anyone who thinks the strategy is shallow hasn't figured out how to beat level 4 in under four minutes yet. Puh-lease.

I don't think it's a spam... hey wait it is hidden link! Nice how quoting someone shows all the hidden code.

Who needs the quote? I have seen the smiley thing a few times before on other forums. Very smart way to advertise without anybody figuring it out (at least for a little while). But, how many people do you think will actually find it to click on it? The advertisement has that drawback.

Am I right, guys? :D :D :D

Heh, they are safe :P

Well I'm still a newb at forums I guess. I Just don't post that often (check mine vs AC91 and LunarDuality). Plus I studied (emphasis - studied) programming so any code is interesting to me.
